Your pathway to trusting birth

Explore what we offer

  • Prenatal massage is designed to support the physiological changes of pregnancy while nurturing deep rest and nervous system regulation. In addition to relieving muscular tension and improving circulation, sessions may incorporate gentle body balancing techniques to foster optimal maternal alignment and encourage ideal fetal positioning. Each treatment is tailored to your trimester, honoring both comfort and the intelligent design of your changing body while preparing you for a more efficient, supported birth.

  • Childbirth education is a comprehensive preparation for pregnancy, labor, and early postpartum grounded in evidence-based practice and trust in physiological birth. Together we explore the hormonal blueprint of labor, informed decision-making, comfort measures, and partner support. My classes empower families to walk their path with clarity, confidence, and a deep trust in birth.

  • Lactation education offers foundational guidance during pregnancy so families feel prepared before baby arrives. We cover latch, milk supply, newborn feeding behavior, and realistic expectations for the early days. This proactive approach builds confidence and helps prevent common feeding challenges before they arise.

Prenatal Services

  • Birth support provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational presence throughout labor and delivery. From early labor through the first hours postpartum, I offer steady reassurance, hands-on comfort measures, body positioning guidance, and nervous system regulation to help you move through each wave with strength and clarity.
As your doula, I help protect your space, facilitate communication with your care team, and support informed, confident decision-making while honoring the intelligent design of birth. My role is not to direct your experience, but to walk beside you — anchoring calm, preserving autonomy, and holding deep trust in your body’s innate wisdom as you step across the threshold into motherhood.

  • Placenta encapsulation offers families the option to prepare their placenta into capsules to support postpartum recovery. Many mothers choose this practice to promote balanced mood, replenishment, and sustained energy in the early weeks. Additional offerings include placenta tinctures for long-term use, customized cord keepsakes, and placenta prints to honor this sacred and life-giving organ.

Birth Services

  • IBCLC-led lactation counseling provides individualized assessment and clinical-level feeding support. Whether addressing latch discomfort, milk supply concerns, oral restrictions, or pumping guidance, sessions are rooted in both science and compassion. My goal is to help families feed their babies with confidence and sustainable support.

  • Postpartum massage supports recovery, hormonal transition, and integration after birth. Sessions focus on relieving muscular strain from labor and infant care while gently encouraging lymphatic flow and nervous system restoration. This is a space for the mother to be held as she heals and recalibrates.

  • Abdominal Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on modality that supports the alignment and vitality of the abdominal and pelvic organs. As a registered practitioner with The Abdominal Therapy Collective, I use techniques that enhance circulation, encourage optimal organ positioning, and help restore balance within the reproductive, digestive, and nervous systems.

This work can be especially supportive during postpartum recovery, and for concerns such as painful cycles, pelvic tension, digestive discomfort, or scar tissue. Each session is both therapeutic and educational, empowering you with self-care techniques to continue supporting your body at home.
This service is available to mothers 12+ weeks postpartum.

  • Custom herbal support is thoughtfully formulated to meet the specific needs of each mother. Blends may focus on postpartum emotional support, nervous system regulation, tissue healing, or optimizing lactation. Each preparation is crafted with intention, honoring both traditional herbal wisdom and modern understanding of maternal physiology.

  • Yoni steaming is a gentle herbal hydrotherapy practice designed to support tissue healing, pelvic circulation, and uterine involution after birth. The warmth of the steam increases blood flow to the perineal tissues, which may promote comfort, reduce swelling, support the release of residual lochia, and encourage the uterus as it returns to its pre-pregnancy size.

Carefully selected herbs are chosen to soothe, tone, and support recovery during the fourth trimester. Steaming is introduced only after appropriate healing has occurred and is not recommended immediately postpartum or in the presence of infection, fever, or unhealed tears. Each session is guided with safety, education, and intention — offering both physical support and a restorative ritual to help mothers reconnect with their bodies as they transition into this new season.

  • Belly binding offers gentle abdominal support during the postpartum period to encourage physical recovery and core awareness. This traditional practice can promote comfort, support pelvic alignment, and help mothers feel contained and grounded in the early weeks after birth. Each wrap is applied with care and education so families can continue the practice at home if desired.

Why have a doula?

Having a doula means you are never alone during one of the most transformative experiences of your life. A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, helping you feel safe, grounded, and confident as your body does what it is designed to do. By offering comfort measures, encouragement, and evidence-based guidance during birth, she ensures you are supported in making fully informed decisions throughout your journey, reducing fear and stress so labor can unfold without distraction or unnecessary interference. She supports your partner, protects your space, and reminds you of your strength — allowing you to walk your own path through this life-changing process with trust, clarity, and steady, compassionate support.

Founder, Doula, IBCLC, Herbalist, Licensed Massage Therapist, Student Midwife

My dedication to this work, and my continuous evolution as a provider within it, is rooted in a reverence for physiological birth and a commitment to supporting women through one of life’s most profound transitions. With a background in midwifery, bodywork, and herbalism, I approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum holistically — honoring the physical body, the emotional landscape, the family as it expands, and the sacred threshold of becoming a mother. My practice is guided by a deep trust in the innate wisdom of women and the intelligent design of birth. I believe this work is not just about babies being born, but about women stepping into and embracing their God given strength.

  • "My wife and I absolutely loved Jaqulynn! She was by the far the best doula we could have had on our side so I definitely recommend her to anyone out there having a baby. She made us feel very comfortable and safe with this crazy yet beautiful experience. Thank you so much. We cant wait to have you be apart of our second birthing when that time comes!"

  • "After interviewing several doulas, my husband and I instantly knew Jaqulynn was the right fit from our very first meeting. Her calm presence, holistic approach, and deep knowledge immediately put us at ease. She supported us through every step—childbirth education, prenatal massages, and regular check-ins—making sure we felt fully prepared, informed, and supported leading up to our daughter’s birth. On the big day, I felt empowered, confident, and truly cared for. Jaqulynn’s guidance created a calm, beautiful birth experience that we will always treasure. If you’re looking for a doula who is experienced, compassionate, and truly committed to her clients, we wholeheartedly recommend Jaqulynn!"

  • "Jaqulynn came highly recommended by a dear friend of mine and she did not disappoint! We came up with a birth plan and she advised me on many subjects during my pregnancy. During labor she really shined, while my plan did not go as I had wanted, she was there every step of the way to ensure we took time to make informed decisions and helped us feel empowered with each step of labor. Our baby was delivered healthy and soon after I had the help of some lactation consultants at the hospital. The information was helpful but nothing was as personalized and catered to me and my baby as the consult with Jaqulynn was. She came to our home to access how breastfeeding was going, and she made some really helpful tips on how to better our latch and also help her and I feel more comfortable. As a first time mom I had SO many questions, and Jaqulynn always made me feel like I could ask her whatever, whenever. She's an encyclopedia of information when it comes to birth and babies, and I'm so thankful to have had her by my side during this time."

  • "I had an amazing prenatal massage with Jaqulynn, and she is incredibly knowledgeable about the body and the needs of pregnant women. Her technique was both relaxing and effective—so effective that the night after my massage, I went into labor! It was truly a labor-inducing massage in the best way possible. I highly recommend her to any expecting mom looking for relief, relaxation, and maybe even a little nudge toward meeting their baby!"

  • "Jaqulynn saved me! I went in for a prenatal massage with a lot of discomfort at 30 weeks and after the massage I haven’t had the same kind of pain since! She really knows the pregnant body and helped my hips/lower back a lot!"

  • "We first met Jaqulynn while taking one of her prep for baby classes at Scripps. Immediately we loved her plethora of knowledge in both holistic practices and Western medicine. She is keen on evidence-based research and that's important to us. When she said she was also a doula we had to reach out. During our labor she helped not only empower me to make decisions based on our values, but also ask questions to our care team that I wouldn't even think of that would impact our labor. She kept us true to our goals even when unexpected things came up. She was incredibly kind, but not too passive to let me give up (I did not want pain medication) on the birth I wanted. Jaqulynn from start to now has always been there for us and promptly as well. She truly cares and if she can't get to us right away she lets us know but still is very responsive. Even if you can't afford a doula, she offers other services such as pre and post natal massage, lactation services, placenta encapsulation, and more. I have had the pleasure of getting these services and she is five stars all around. I saw several lactation consultants as I had a lot of problems arise, but bar none Jaqulynn was the best 100%. Her lactation services alone made everything worth it. The way Jaqulynn asks questions and provides answers shows her knowledge and care. She doesn't just give the standards steps, she looks into your unique situation to provide the best possible steps moving forward, many of which were different from mainstream answers, and always yielded the best results by far for us! One final thing that was really important to us was to have someone that was assertive, as both my husband and I are introverted (and new parents). She was assertive and more importantly in a way that was cordial and friendly with our medical team. I could keep going about the benefits of Jaqulynn's services, but if you're considering one or more of the services she provides, just do it. You will be so glad you did. She is truly there for you and in you're corner during a special but incredibly challenging time in your life."

  • "I cannot even begin to sing enough praises for Jaqulynn and the work she does. Calling it “work” doesn’t even feel like the right word because you can truly see this is her calling and feel the passion she has for helping others. I was new to the concept of a doula and wouldn’t have normally gone for one, but when I met her I felt immediately drawn to her and her energy. She is so warm, comforting, patient and gentle. You can feel right off the bat that she truly cares about you and your baby’s wellbeing, and she listens to what YOU want. She has a wealth of knowledge and blew my mind each and every time we would talk. I felt heard, protected and equipped with what I needed to feel strong going into my labor. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!!! I’m so lucky to have found her and to now call her a friend."

  • "I cannot recommend Jaqulynn enough. So far she has come to our home twice; first for birthing education and second for lactation support. She’s an excellent teacher, and helped my husband and I become more informed and prepared for birth. I had read three baby books and taken classes and webinars but nothing was as comprehensive and helpful as having Jaqulynn come to our home. Additionally, for our first visit, I was 32 weeks along and my baby was transverse. My doctor had already scheduled me a c-section and didn’t give me much optimism that baby would turn, because they also predicted him to be in the 90th percentile for size. Jaqulynn reassured us that a vaginal birth was still very much possible and taught my husband and I how to do certain spinning babies stretches to help move baby. We did them religiously and sure enough by 36 weeks baby was in the right position, and my c-section was cancelled! I ended up having a vaginal birth. The second time we hired her to come to our home was for lactation support four days after returning home from the hospital. Unfortunately, shortly after birth we were separated from our baby who had to spend three days in the NICU for meconium in his lungs. This meant my breastfeeding journey was off to a very rough start. Six days after birth I felt so defeated that my milk had not come in. Jaqulynn’s empathy towards our hospital experience and insight as to what could have been done better to support my breastfeeding journey was so healing to hear. She listened as I told my complete birth story and helped a very tired and defeated new mom feel hopeful again. Her concern and care is so genuine. She came up with a plan for me to follow including supplements and teas, skin to skin time, a plan for pumping, use of an sns, and simply encouraging me to continue to put my baby to my breast. It’s been two days following the plan and I’m finally seeing some colostrum come in. What her support has done for my mental health, as well as potentially my family, is indescribable. Jaqulynn is passionate and knowledgeable and clearly loves what she does. I cannot recommend her enough for whatever part of your pregnancy or postpartum journey you are on."

  • "Jaqulynn is amazing! I'm a physician myself and met her when she gave our hospital L&D tour for my second baby - I wish I had met her before my first! Jaqulynn has already connected me with so many helpful resources to prepare for labor better this time, plus on successfully flipping my breech baby (and what's normal at what timing of pregnancy, when to be worried, when not, etc) , and her in-home pregnancy massage was INCREDIBLE (highly recommend). She's just a wonderful, knowledgeable, dedicated provider and I'm really grateful to have met her!"

  • "Jaqulynn is such an amazing doula with so much knowledge--pregnancy, nutrition, acupressure, pain management, lactation, herbalism, the list goes on! Every time I asked her a question she had so much knowledge to share. I loved her approach and felt really comfortable with her recommendations knowing that she really understood my preferences toward motherhood. When my birth plan was in flux due to an unexpected injury in pregnancy, Jaqulynn helped me put in the emotional work necessary to be prepared and at peace with the different scenarios that we could face. I am confident that both my birth outcome and the way I felt about it was positively impacted by her therapeutic guidance. Postpartum, Jaqulynn's support has been critical for figuring out breastfeeding and coping with the stresses of having a new baby. I highly recommend Jaqulynn for the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience!"

  • "We give Jaqulynn our highest recommendation. Jaqulynn was an incredible support during my natural birth, not only offering her expertise at every turn, but by serving as a fierce advocate for me, my husband, and our baby in the birthing room. She interfaced and worked seamlessly with the medical staff, protecting us and ensuring our birth plan went exactly how we mapped it out together! Jaqulynn was present throughout the entirety of my long labor, guiding me with calm reassurance, and helping us navigate decisions confidently. Leading up to the birth, we took her birthing classes, which were invaluable in preparing us mentally and physically for the big day! Her knowledge and care as an educator empowered me to learn more about my body and trust the natural process. Dad even enjoyed learning, too! We are so glad we chose Jaqulynn-- thanks to her, I felt supported, informed, and truly cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey!"

  • "Jaqulynn has been such a godsend to our family. I was having a really hard time during my breastfeeding journey as far as my son’s latch and recurring mastitis. She really helped support me and helped me to make decisions about best pumps to use and how to continue my goal of providing my son with breast milk. I probably would have switched to formula and quit trying months ago without her support. Thank you Jaqulynn!"

  • "I had considered hiring a doula but was nervous about sharing such a personal experience with someone I didn't know. When my husband and I met Jaqulynn after my 36 week OB appointment I instantly changed my mind. Her knowledge and experience about the medicated vs unmedicated labor and delivery process and influence of the medical system on the decision making process made me feel even more confident that she was what we needed going into the birth of our first child. I always knew I wanted a natural, unmedicated birth plan but I needed to feel safe and confident during the labor process. Since we met so late during my pregnancy, Jaqulynn offered more post-partum visits. We were so relieved to have her warm, caring, honest presence during the birth of our first child. Her expertise in lactation and breast-feeding was even more rewarding to have during post-partum! I can't thank Jaqulynn enough for her unwavering support and guidance in to mother-hood!"

  • "Highly recommend, Jaqulynn is a fantastic doula! She is super knowledgeable about all things childbirth, and is very attuned to supporting your specific pregnancy and desired birth experience. Jaqulynn was my doula for my second birth, and she helped us navigate a number of unexpected developments including pregnancy complications and multiple changes to “the plan” (and time!) for delivery. Jaqulynn, we are so grateful we had you on this crazy journey, thank you or supporting our whole family in preparing for this birth! When interviewing doulas, I focused on finding someone my husband and I both felt personally comfortable with, and who was knowledgeable about hospital and birth center births. Jaqulynn is all that and also so much more: she is also super funny, and was uplifting and pragmatic throughout many ups and downs. Her perspective and kind heart have been such a gift through this pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum."

  • "Jaqulynn was a wonderful support for me during pregnancy, birth, AND postpartum. I told her I wanted a physiological birth in the hospital, and she helped me be better prepared for both the labor and dealing with hospital protocols. I feel very blessed to have had her on my birth team. One moment in particular that sticks out was when I was in the thick of active labor and told her, “I don’t know how many more contractions I can handle.” She replied, “just focus on the one that’s happening right now.” It sounds simple, but that advice helped me stay present and breathe. Sure enough, I breathed through every contraction after that and welcomed my beautiful daughter into this world. My husband and I love Jaqulynn!!"

  • "We were so grateful to have found Terra Birthing for our pregnancy. From the second we had our first meeting with Jaqulynn, the positive energy and comforting vibe was the perfect match for us. Jaqulynn was with us every step of the way; guiding us with her knowledge and experience. Her presence during our labor was helpful not only for me (mom) but also for dad! Would choose her for future births!"

  • "Jaqulynn came to us as a back up doula, due to a last minute situation. When we met for the first time, the feeling I had about her immediately felt as she was my doula since the beginning. Jaqulynn right away was showing she was willing to do everything in her power to make your birth plan a reality. During the laboring process, I had to put a lot my trust in her. Being a last minute doula replacement, Jaqulynn made it so easy for me to allow for her to assist me in everything. In the future, when I’m ready to bring another child into this world, I will do it all over again with her. She went that extra mile for me and I can guarantee she will do that for other mothers. Not only is she talented at redirecting pain, she is sharp. Jaqulynn has so much knowledge that really kept me calm at times. This girl’s heart is made of gold. If you are on the fence on getting a doula, please book Jaqulynn. You will not be disappointed. The memories I have of my birth will always be a positive experience because of Jaqulynn. Based on the circumstances presented to us, we believe she was meant to be our doula from the beginning."

  • "Having Jaquylnn as my Doula was the best thing we did for our birthing process, especially as new parents. She taught us so much and gave me the tools and education to make informed decisions and not be afraid to advocate for myself in the hospital. Some of my doctors were very intimidating, but with her by my side I felt so empowered. She show up for me emotionally when I was scared and gave me strength when I was exhausted. Her knowledge and professionalism was unmatched, she knew exactly what to say and how to work with my hospital team to give me the best outcome. I had the most beautiful and present birth and I credit Jaquylnn for that."

  • "I had the most magical birthing experience I could have ever hoped for and Jaqulynn helped me feel prepared and informed. My partner and I were nervous about giving birth in a hospital setting and the influence of doctors and she helped us feel confident about going into our birth by being educated on our rights and everything that can occur. She also helped us with different positions for him to support me through the pregnancy and labor. I would have had no idea how to prepare for postpartum if it wasn’t for her tips and tricks that have been so useful. I am very grateful for all the knowledge she has passed on to us and the feeling of empowerment in my experience."

  • "I can not say enough amazing things about Jaqulynn! If you’re even slightly hesitant about getting a doula, please don’t be! Jaqy exceeded my expectations, and I am so glad I chose her as my doula. From the prenatal support, through my labor, and even postpartum, she’s been beyond supportive, caring and loving, and I would highly recommend Jaqy to anyone who is expecting! The love that she provides to her mamas is just out of true compassion for her craft and empathy that she feels when she’s there for you. She was there for me when I needed someone the most, and that is the type of support that is irreplaceable. Don’t know what I would have done without her by my side through out all of this. You’ll know you need her when you meet her!"
